New show announced and Mountain Romantics

We're happy to announce that we'll be hitting the stage with our pals from Open Channels March 3rd at The Owl. We'll be playing material from Seas of Dawn, as well as debuting a pile of new songs. You can check out the event for the project here.

I also took part in project this past weekend with local hero John Wort Hannam, where we wrote, recorded, mixed, and released an album in 24-hours. I couldn't have asked for a better group of musicians to work with! In addition to John, Kyle Harmon and Paul Holden played on the record––who have been he rhythm section on the upcoming New Weather Machine record––and did an amazing job. The album, Maybe One Day, was released under the band name Mountain Romantics. You can check it out here.

Thanks to Steve Foord for the poster!

First session for the next record

I went on a writing spree of sorts at the beginning of November and have what feels like a ton of new songs bouncing around. Although Seas of Dawn just came out, I decided to get back in the studio as soon as possible to begin work on the next record.

We had the first session for the next record today at Green Recording Company and did the rhythm tracks for three brand new songs, with Paul Holden on bass and Kyle Harmon on drums. Things turned out really well and I'm super excited to do some more work on these tracks and start the next batch! I'm anticipating the process going pretty quickly over the next month or so, and will be posting updates on Facebook and Instagram (but mostly Instagram).
